Winter Vacation Spots

Right in the middle of the winter season is the two-week semester break, a long-awaited rest from work and school, especially after the stress of finals. During this time, students and their families can take advantage of many beautiful places for a relaxing Colorado vacation.

Breckenridge: Breckenridge is a very popular place to be during the winter holidays. The beautiful place is widely known for its popular skiing and snowboarding trails; the resort has 2,908 acres and five peaks. Although the resort is marketed as a ski resort, it has many more attractions, especially during the winter season. There never seems to be a dull moment in Breckenridge. 

Winter Park- Winter Park is another beautiful skiing and snowboarding resort in Colorado. There are six stunning mountains that are a part of the Winter Park Resort. All of the mountains have beautiful runs to accompany the trip down the mountainside. The resort also happens to do tours of their beautiful property the tour ends with a trip to their mountain lodge that has a dining area with beautiful views. Something that is unique to Winter Park is the “Winter Park Express”, which is The express leaves from Union Station in Denver, and goes all the way up the mountain.  

Estes Park- If you want to stay in Colorado but skiing or snowboarding is not your scene, Estes Park is a beautiful tourist town, at the gateway to Rocky Mountain National Park. The town features The Stanley Hotel, and according to colorado.com, the hotel is famous, as it was the place that inspired Stephen King to write his famous book, The Shining. The hotel is not the only attraction of the town, though. Estes Park has an adorable town center that is filled to the brim with shops.
